Drunk On You
If you weren't so busy just now
I would have the courage to ask you your name
And how long you've worked here.
If you weren't already stroking your hair casually behind your ear
I would have the courage to simply and quietly do it for you.
If you weren't working the cash register just now
I would walk behind the counter and stand beside you
I would place my hand on your shoulder and kiss your neck.
If you weren't already smiling,
I would take your hand and kiss it
And tell you how drunk I am on you.
If we weren't talking right now
I would have the courage to pull you against me and kiss you
And tell you with my eyes how much I want you.
